I'm a huge fan of Pokemon, and recently me and my friend (another huge pokemon fan) were talking about how cool it would be to purchase replica badges. I'm not really talking about all of them, mainly just the original 8. No, I'm talking about rubber ones or crappy made ones either. Were saying we would shell out a good 70-80 bucks for some really nice made ones that we could frame and display.

I figured there had to be a place SOMEWHERE that you could buy something like that, but I really can't find anything. The best I can find is some crappy ones on ebay that look like pins for 5 dollars. Anyone know where I can find what I'm looking for? Thanks!

Check Etsy, I've seen a number of people making things like that and it should be a lot cheaper than $80. Although they aren't going to be officially licensed merchandise so you'll want to browse around to make sure you're getting some nice quality ones.

I've actually never heard of this site before, but it is very neat!

I'm checking out the badges, and I see some things that I might go out on a limb and buy, but I'm not sure yet.

The only real options are ones where people have taken pictures of the badges, and make pins out of them, which actually look nice, but you can tell that they don't exactly look realistic.

The other option is where people have hand made them out of acrylic material. I like these better, but since they are handmade I am not too hip on the imperfections of them.

This is pretty damn cool though: http://www.etsy.com/listing/82524837/pokemon-johto-league-badge-set?ref=sr_gallery_4&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=pokemon+badges&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=all&ga_facet=

If you're still looking, check out sanshee.com

They've only got the Kanto and Johto sets on their site ($20 each), but someone at the Sakura-Con staff meeting yesterday had the Unova ones on their bag (they got them at PAX), and they looked really nice. They're slightly smaller than I'd assume "real" ones would be, but they're metal and looked high quality.

See if your area has a local Pokemon TCG league, if they do try to contact the person in charge of that. I am sure they would have a bunch of old badges from the past seasons to give to you for free.

They are all made of metal, and though they are small they are pretty decently made.

If there is not one, try going on pokebeach, pokegym, or other Pokemon TCG boards and post a request for them.
