watching it right now, and i have to say WOW! they have really stepped up with this dub. not only is there no noticable change in the voice work, but it seems even better than the first season.
the twins' voices are so perfect and creepy, they even got the laugh down. Balalaika's voice actress has also improved. she sounds even better than usual.
i really hope they can get this back on dvd , cause it's just a complete waste to not have it out thre.

I concur. My eyes were glued to my television for the entire hour. The twins are enough to freak anyone out, and Eda needs to drop the nun outfit for good!
I can't wait to get through the rest of the episodes and, hopefully, get a dvd release sometime down the road.

Hello!
I am also very happy with what I saw on Black Lagoon. I ended up just getting Starz to see Black Lagoon. I really like the dub cast and I think that they are only getting better.
Anyway the twins are both scary and amazing. I have to agree that Eda is far neater without her habit. I loved Rock's reaction to seeing her.
Now I can't wait for next week. I am truly hoping to have an official release for this because it needs to happen.

I love the Vampire twins arc, and I'm so happy Starz was the one to air them. Watching The Second Barrage edited would have been awful. I really do hope this season ends up on dvd.

Just grabbed the second season and I have to say..it's really awesome. I don't know what it is about all the anime I've watched this week, but I'm wanting a new season of this. Of course I haven't seen the whole series through so I don't know if something happens that would make that impossible.
But it's always nice to see some quality dubs on T.V.

thepope: you liked the dubs? I thought Jet's voice was horrid compared to he japanese counterpart. but that may just be me.
It does suck that all the work is done it just didn't make it onto dvd's for us to buy. I've been watching it on G4 up in Canada here. I agree, the twins ark was great, creeping and entertaining is always good.

I wasn't aware there was a character named Jet in the series. I assume you meant Dutch as they have somewhat similar personalities and physique. Well, in the interview on the LE Black Lagoon V1, Dean Redman mentioned he was new to the voice acting industry but its an area that he has interest in. I thought he did very well personally even though Season 2 lacks much screen time with Dutch and Benny.
Yeah the Vampire arc was fantastic especially last few scenes. One of the things I really admire and respect is how they portray the darkness and reality of the cold world. The interaction between the twin and Rock on the boat was an excellent example. You get to understand a bit about their past and how they became so twisted. There was a post last week about BL appearing on Starz. Recently I've noticed there has been an explosion of the second season being shared online.

Heh ya sorry I meant Dutch, I was on my way out so my mind wasn't in the game. His VA was alright but I had seem a few episodes with subs before I watched the dub and to me the original voice was just way way better.

If you liked Balalaika's voice actress's work in the twins arc, wait till you see her in the last one (the Japanese mafia arc). One of my friends was at my place when I was watching episode 23 on G4 and he was like "Wow, this chick is seriously creepy!"
I absolutely love the Dub on this show. I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a better anime dub. IMO it's one of those aboslutely rare occurances where the dub surpasses the original Japanese audio.

Hello!
Well tonight was another showing of Black Lagoon. The end of the twin arc was solid. I will say that the twins make an unforgettable impression. I also think that the Greenback Jane arc looks like it will be quite interesting.
So it is good to see more from Black Lagoon. I am glad to hear more from this dub cast.

Finally watched the 2nd Barrage eps saved on my DVR. I loved the twins arc (which should be obvious) and the Greenback Jane arc looks promising as well. Gotta love those nuns.
Damn you Geneon for not releasing the DVDs. *shakes fist* I seriously hope someone rescues this. That way I can get better screen shots of Gretel.

FYI, for those of you watching Black Lagoon on StarzEdge, episode 24 is not listed in the May schedule at the end of their showing of the second Barrage.

Just finished watching the finale of the Second Barrage. It was great but the ending bothers me some, What happens with Revy and Rock? Do they hook up or what?? it left me wanting more. Maybe they'll be a movie??
Anywho... anyone know whats up next for Starz Animidnight? I've Googled but come up with nothing. The Starz website also left me empty handed. Err.... x.x

I didn't see anything that would imply that they hooked up. To me the last scene's main point was that Revy is alive and well.
As for a continuation, I would love to see something done. But it has been a few years and nothing, so I'm not too optimistic on this.
