Too bad Harvard's out of my driving area, otherwise I'd show up.

Actually, it was in one of those threads that someone posted a link to it and suggested it should be a news item.

Sounds interesting. It just sucks that I'm halfway across the country, otherwise I'd definitely be there. I really wish stuff like this would be held closer to home.

I really would like to see this lecture. Unfortunately I'm not in the NY area. I wonder if there will be some transcript online that will be available later.

I think I might be able to obtain a transcript by asking some friends if they'll be able to attend. I'll let you know if my efforts have any results.

By the way, that college is in Cambridge, MA, not New York. I couldn't tell from your post whether you knew or not, so I'm just clarifying Wink

If certain anime were distributed with better quality, piracy wouldn't be as big of an issue.

i don't know which "bad" quality anime you are talking about but DVDs are FAR better than ANY fansubs with sources from TV broadcase....

and besides, there are so many titles available, you are sure to find one that you're willing to pay for it...unless you are a cheapskate who refuse to pay for anything....ie stealing

Video quality isn't the only important thing.
