And as much as I thoroughly enjoyed this thoughtful series, that title could apply to many episodes .... Wink

Thanks, baisengan! My Comcast DVR was telling a different story, but now I know the truth!

Brian, please put Astro Boy closer to the top . . . I know the show has had very much more reruns than any dozen of the Encore shows. But in my part of the world, these shows had not been on since the 70's and are truly new for the next generation of anime fans. Pretty please with sugar on top Laughing

Voltron will be back in a couple weeks when it and Astro Boy air every day at 5 and 5:30. Eureka Seven will be back when Trinity Blood finishes.

I was under the assumption that that was only a temporary, Halloween-themed schedule. Zap2it and other grids had things change back to normal as of this coming Monday, and Adult Swim's own schedule page hasn't been updated in over a month.

Astro Boy has been my Pick not once, but twice now! I suppose though I could work in an extra plug or two. Or fifteen.

Great title, first of all. Second, this episode focuses on Re-L attempting to understand the complex motivations driving Vincent to become a horrible thing like a "Proxy," and other ponderings.

True there is not a lot of action, but...

That actually is one of my favorite episodes out of the series. Not only is it cute hearing Re-L's inner musings, but you get to see the everyday attitudes of the main cast. Ranging from feigned happiness to petty anger, I found it to be quite the treat. Anime catgrin

As far as holiday's go though, I learned a long time ago not to buy presents for everyone. Just the select few now days.

Actually, Adult Swim updated their page yesterday and that schedule change is permanent.

Hold the drinks for the Fuse viewers. I watched Ergo Proxy on there last night (Nov. 3) and it was definitely ep. 21, Shampoo Planet. Soooo...for Nov. 10, I suppose they will show ep. 22. Unless they don't.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
(Cartoon Network)
Saturday November 3 11:30am - Episode 125 "Triple Play, Part 2"

Jaden's three buddies end their grand duel with the masked knights to an impressively unexpected outcome. Without spoiling anything, let's just say that nobody dies.

spoiler[While I'm sure you meant the last part sarcastically, a majority of the main characters actually die throughout the course of season 3. ^^;; Some of which by Jaden/Judai's very own hands. In terms of where the dub is, one death has already occured, but 4Kids put their editing powers to work there. While most "come back to life" by the end of the season, that's not true for everybody.]

Blood +
(Adult Swim)
Sunday November 4 12:30am - Episode 31 "Breaking Shield" (Repeats Sun Nov 4 4:00am)

After a few rather chatty, introspective episodes, Blood+ finally lives up to its title: Saya fights against the vicious Diva in order to protect Riku. And yes, there is blood.

Okay I just watched this, and I must say that this is pretty misleading. I was especially pumped about this episode after reading the description this afternoon(I watch every week), but it looks like it would fit much better for next weeks The Click instead. Because 5 seconds of blood at the very ends doesn't make an episode.

Looks like Diva done brought some though. Wink

Originally it was temporary. Now it is permanent.

In fact, Inuyasha is coming off the air altogether after this coming week, and it will become:

12:30/3:30 - Bleach
1:00/4:00 - Blood+
1:30/4:30 - Trinity Blood

with a 5 am / 7 nights a week block of Voltron and Astro Boy.

When Trinity Blood ends, Eureka seveN will take its spot. When Bleach ends, new episodes of Shin-chan will take its spot.

Of course, as is always the case with Adult Swim, things are subject to change.

I saw a commercial during Ergo Proxy for a new show called Talking Metal so I checked the schedule on fuse.tv and there's no Ergo Proxy or Tenjho Tenge for Fri. Nov. 9, 9pm-10pm pst. They have Reservoir Dogs and Talking Metal showing in that time slot.
