Yes, I knew they were going to release season 7 in spring 2024 way before they even announced it!

.... So? There's nothing wrong with recaps, the purpose of ep 1 recaps actually IS to recap the past season for new viewers and viewers who actually watched s6 a year ago, not as a filler when the production is falling apart. I'm fairly certain some networks explicitly request recaps for these types of shows as well.

Another movie?

I highly doubt it pulls a JJK0 by moving away from the main character, so how's that going to work? Will there be another random cataclysmic villain created by AFO showing up to wreck stuff?

Well, this is interesting.

There is just enough material to make a season and the series its on its last legs, there will be not enough material for a full 24 episodes season 8.

Of course, season 1 was 12 episodes.

Foreign villain. Besides, if World Heroes Mission felt like a half baked Public Enemies adaptation, there has to be another loose adaptation of a comic story that foreign villains can be used in.

It's only my opinion but I don't think this series in particular needs the recap but even if it doesn't pull the episode 1 recap bit, I'm fairly certain it will still sprinkle overused flashbacks in its episodes. This was alrdy an issue in the previous seasons & I dont see it changing here either.

Recap premiere episodes are good for series that really needs them like the Ancient Magus Bride which S1 & 2 are six years apart but sadly didn't get one. Last season of MHA wasnt that long ago...

I do like how MHA breaks its seasons up over time, instead of padding itself out with filler.

Hope the production holds up for this upcoming season. Curious to see how far they'll adapt to.

Yeah, but I wish the breaks were longer. I've often felt that the My Hero Academia anime needs more time in production, especially when there's a movie in development. I still remember my dissatisfaction with some of the S5 visuals (especially during the Endeavor internship episodes). They'd been pulling people to work on the movie and it really showed.

This seems to be the new standard for how long running manga get adapted, and MHA was really the series that pioneered it (along with Attack on Titan, but MHA has been much more consistent in its scheduling and production.)

Season 5's problems with visuals were way more than just a movie. It was being produced while COVD was still going strong, and during that time frame Bones was just getting screwed in general, series like Vanitas and Sk8 were also documented to be having it's share of production setbacks.

Yeah, of the 1000 silly complains the HeroAca fanbase makes about the Anime, Season 5 was one of the handful that was justified.

It didn't help the fact that we got to see what the Toga vs Curious battle should have been:

Do we know what happened with Godzilla, Supercrooks or Bungou Stray Dogs? Because those also had some pretty glaring issues with the visuals. Was them juggling all those shows, on top of dealing with both World Heroes and COVID-19 something that affected all titles as a result?
