Talk about a throwback. I sort of remember remember watching Gatekeepers 21 back on Tech TV, and I think I dropped it because it seemed like I was missing something. Looking at the encyclopedia, it looks like Tech TV might have aired the sequel but not this?

I have a vague memory of seeing single volumes of this in ancient RightStuf sales, but I know literally nothing about it.

I like watching Gonzo titles that I never missed back in the 00s. CR already made Black Cat, Trinity Blood and Black Blood Brothers available to stream.

Yeah, I only recognize this because it was the first anime I never finished. Though Asu no Egao no Tame ni did pop up in my Winamp playlist yesterday, so that's a weird coincidence.

I have the Geneon DVDs mentioned in the article, and can confirm that this does indeed have an English Dub. So why isn't this available on Crunchyroll as well?

It’s nostalgic, but I have to admit, after rewatching it, it didn’t hold up.

That is correct.

When I discovered this existed after GK21 aired on TechTV's "Anime Unleashed" block, I ended up ordering it on DVD although what I received ended up being a (well made) bootleg.

I have all the DVD volumes for both Gate Keepers and Gate Keepers 21 which I watched a number of years ago. I guess it's pretty telling that I can't remember anything about the shows.

I remember seeing ads for this in anime magazines I had. Maybe now I can actually go watch it. Wonder if it will be available in Australia...

While it’s cool to see all these classic shows being streamed on Crunchyroll again I have to ask why are none of their English dubs included? Pretty much all the recently announced titles I know for a fact have dubs so why are they being excluded?

I haven't watched this probably since I bought the DVDs, but I remember it being a fun series, so hopefully people who haven't watched it will enjoy it =)

Say, both shows were premiered on our former channel Hero TV in Filipino dub (I can still hear the MC's PH dub in my head until now). Hopefuly Maburaho stream isn't completely butchered with censorship in every moment since majority of 00s fanservices looks tame even in uncensored version compare to 90s and current fanservice trends.
