Wait what? Tales of Graces is getting released in the US in a week?

Oh, it seems they screwed up the localization. Nice try, but better luck next time Bamco. I hope the game bombs hard enough so that Tales may never see the light of day in the west again.

Wait, what? How the hell did they "screw over the localization". Are you pissed that they changed "Arles Pot" to "Eleth Mixer"? Dropped voices in skits aside (which is NOT happening in Graces) the localization on Tales games have been absolutely fine in my opinion. I mean, how would you know this? Have you even played the game?

And why would you wish tha it bombs and no more Tales games come to the west? That's a horrible thing to say

Either way, I don't really care. I've been anticipating Graces for awhile now, and I hope it leads to more games coming here.

I've had it preorderd since December, and I'm taking three days of leave so I can play it when it comes out. I'm so excited!

Ah, Xexyz...that game will probably forever be the most nostalgic NES game for me. I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers it.

RIP Hudson, thanks for the good times.

Laughing , I've also being waiting for this game and I'm using a week of PTO from work just to play it and marathon some anime titles. The Tales series has being my favorite RPG franchise since the PS2 (yes including Legendia).

On another note, as much as I loved Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2 I'm not digging what I seen from Ninja Gaiden 3. I dislike Itagaki very much but I believe there was something in they way he developed games that appealed to me.

And after playing Flower I can't wait for Journey. Flower was one of they most relaxing, artistic gaming experiences I had and I've heard nothing but good thing about Journey.

Unless Final Fantasy Type-0 or FFX HD come out this year. The only game I am looking forward to is Dead or Alive 5. I love everything I have seen so far!

Ahh, Silent Hill and Yakuza: Dead Souls next week? Time to dip into my Momocon funds! ;D

It's sad about Hudson, though. I've always been a fan; getting into emulating older games a year or two ago to experience stuff from the Super Nintendo and Genesis that I wasn't alive to play, I realized that Hudson had some seriously excellent titles. One of their last games, 2010's "Calling" for the Wii, was an underrated gem of a game, a true trip back to mid-2000's PS2 survival horror games. They've always been kind of an underdog, and it's sad to know that they can't survive in the highly competitive modern game market. Sad

Hmmm Journey looks like a nice waste of time to me. I think I'll get it. The price is almost perfect for a few day diversion. It might even be worth more than the price, I guess I will find out. I love a good sandbox game.

Obvious troll is obvious. Moving on...

Tales of Graces F is definitely going to be the highlight RPG for the next few months. Especially considering FFXIII-2 left such a bitter taste (or should I say made the bitter taste from XIII linger on?) in people's mouths in the last month. And Todd, seriously, is learning new terminology too much for you or something? There aren't that many unique terms in Graces F. XP

P4 Mayonaka: Seems the production line of combat robots from P3 are becoming really popular. Egads, could this be the KOS-MOS syndrome!? Popularizing a robot over the humans, it's happening again! D:

Hudson: I'm sorry to hear Hudson Soft has finally given up the ghost. I rented both Adventure Island and Milon's Castle years ago back when Blockbuster mattered. They were both fun games for the NES at the time. I wonder if all video game company names will eventually cease to exist and there'll just be one omnipresent developer that oversees everything. The future freaks me out.

Quote:
And so Hudson Soft drifts into history, much like some used CD store two towns over. You went there maybe once or twice, but the only thing you ever bought was a Belly album because it was two dollars and you hadn't heard “Feed the Tree” in years. Then one day you drove by and noticed that the store was gone. And it didn't feel right

God, do I know that feeling. Every place I ever went into, even a few times, has gone the way of the dinosaurs. My town's changed too much and so has the neighboring one. Stores I used to frequent haven't moved away, the business itself has ended. And it just doesn't feel right.

Just ignore him, he's a crybaby troll who's trying too hard. He's probably upset because it won't have his perfect weeaboo world translation.

tales of graces F is probably my most anticipated game in awhile and for good reason since it looks great from the (many) vids i seen of it plus i loved vesperia and abyss and i heard this was better so thats setting up the bar pretty high. im not all bothered by the new P4 arena character most persona fans seem to have a problem with im getting the game when its released anyway and i think its nice to see them add a new character in the mix.

We've already seen that players tolerate bonus material that's…well, a bonus, but they're less forgiving when they have to pay to unlock something they already own.

Except that's not actually true....it's complicated, but from what I've read, just because you bought the disc, doesn't mean you own everything on it. Hell, you technically own nothing on it--all you own is the right to use it. If the stuff's on the disc but you're not allowed to use it without buying it as DLC, well, shit. You never owned that content in the first place.

Wait, wasn't there already a bit about Hudson in another article? Or am I just having deja vu?

At any rate, if they're being merged with Konami I wouldn't really consider them dead. I mean, when Banpresto folded into Bamco that didn't stop them from making games.

These are the two games Im also interested in... yakuza mainly because of its predicesors and Silent hill becuase I'm just a hopeful dreamer (even though I already know in my head that it's got a 99% chance of suckage)

"Arles Pot" to "Eleth Mixer" is a weird, pointless change, but ultimately un-intrusive given it's just a little cooking thing. (Not to mention Arles could technically be written as Eleth given the romanization)

It's not as if they changed Asbel to Alex or something.
