An obscure live-action remake was released as a television film in 2006.
The painting that was seen hanging in Santa Claus' bedroom is the same one that was put up in the Sombertown hall towards the end of "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" (1970).
The appearances of Snow Miser and Heat Miser were both based on the likenesses of their voice actors, Dick Shawn and George S. Irving.
During the "Snow Right Here In Dixie" song, a Southtown civilian that bears a resemblance to Charles Chaplin’s Tramp character makes a small cameo.
