Magazines Dedicated to Anime Music Appear in Japan

posted on by Evan Miller
Special "Anisong" one-shot magazines to appear this June

The magazine "Otona Anime" (literally "Adult Anime" *), a magazine that centers on critiques and anime-related subculture, has announced that they are selling a magazine dedicated to Anime music and songs this June. At the same time, the free anime information magazine "Anikan" is also publishing a special issue entitled "Anikan R MUSIC" around the same time.

In the past, special magazines dedicated to anime music have been sold along with music magazines. Fans have commented that it will be nice to have a publication geared towards fans that catalogs music information for easy reference.

After a list of "50 famous anime songs" appeared in the previous issue of "Otona Anime", the current issue of the magazine will feature information about 20 anime seiyuu and singers, including artist backgrounds and commentary. The special anime music issue will feature extended coverage and special features that will be announced at a later date. The "Anikan R MUSIC" special issue will feature special interviews with anime seiyuu and other columns.
