Series Synopsis
Youki died in a traffic accident and was reborn in a fantasy world! However, instead of being the hero of legends, he ended up reincarnating into an overpowered demon. Having no desire to become the Demon Lord, he sits around in the Demon Lord's castle as a random low rank guardian. One day, the Hero's party comes to attack and on a whim he knocks out the entire hero party. Healing up the Hero party and then preparing to send them back to town, he notices the female priest and falls in love at first sight!
Manga Background
Kairi's manga adaptation launched on Futabasha's Gaugau Monster platform in 2021 and remains ongoing. The 12th volume was released in July 2025, with the 13th volume following in December 2025. MANGA MIRAI will begin releasing the first 4 volumes of the 13-volume series in English, allowing fans to experience the story officially in manga form alongside the anime adaptation.
Anime Adaptation Details
The anime adaptation stars Kōhei Amasaki, known for roles including Otto Suwen (Re:Zero), Neito Monoma (My Hero Academia), and Will Serfort (Wistoria: Wand and Sword), as Yōki, alongside Kana Hanazawa, known for roles including Kanade Tachibana (Angel Beats!), Mayuri Shiina (Steins;Gate), and Mitsuri Kanroji (Demon Slayer), as Cecilia.
The opening theme song, “Lavish!!”, is performed by Yoshino, while the ending theme, “Kimi Kōryaku Game” (Capturing You Game), is performed by Hiyori Ōmiya.
