posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Sega Networks and Gumi Asia will release its Chain Chronicle mobile role-playing game for Android and iOS devices in the United States on December 8, followed by other Western countries.
In the game, players recruit characters into an army in order to defeat the menacing Black Army. The game's name derives from the interlocking relationships among this vast cast of more than 200 characters. Akira Ishida voices 46 of the characters, and Ai Nonaka, Shiori Mikami, Ayane Sakura, Maaya Uchida, and Kotori Koiwai also have roles.
The game updated with new content in July.
Several illustrators, including toi8 (MAOYU, No. 6), Arco Wada(Fate/Extra) and HACCAN (Fire Emblem Awakening, Zangeki no Reginleiv) drew the characters for the game.
Chain Chronicle game was released for Android and iOS in Japan last year followed by the Chain Chronicle V PlayStation Vita portl on July 15. The game won a rookie award for mobile and PC games on Wednesday at the Famitsu Awards 2013.
The game inspired a series of anime shorts in September.
