Natsuki Hanae, Kaito Ishikawa, Eri Suzuki, Shizuka Itou star in series premiering in October

The official website for the television anime of Kazuma Kamachi's (A Certain Magical Index) Heavy Object light novel series began streaming the show's first promotional video on Friday after debuting it at Comic Market 88. The video previews ALL OFF's opening theme song "One More Chance!!"

The series will premiere on Tokyo MX, MBS, TV Aichi, BS11, and AT-X in October.

Takashi Watanabe (Slayers, Shakugan no Shana franchises, Ikki Tousen) is serving as chief director of the series at J.C. Staff. Chikara Sakurai (Little Busters!, Little Busters! Refrain) is serving as assistant director, Hiroyuki Yoshino (Magi: The Kingdom of Magic, Accel World, World Trigger) is handling the series composition, and Atsuko Watanabe (Valkyria Chronicles, Unbreakable Machine-Doll) is adapting NAGI's original character designs for anime. SANZIGEN is handling the 3DCG animation and Maiko Iuchi (A Certain Magical Index, A Certain Scientific Railgun) is composing the soundtrack.

Rock band ALL OFF will perform the show's opening theme song "One More Chance!!," and singer Kano (Wish Upon the Pleiades opening) will perform the ending theme "Dea Brave."

The series stars Natsuki Hanae as Quenser, Kaito Ishikawa as Heivia, Eri Suzuki as Milinda, and Shizuka Itou as Major Floretia Capistrano.

The story revolves around Objects — powerful, massive weapons that change the course of warfare — and Elite Object pilots. An odd Elite girl named Milinda meets Quenser, a student who aims to become a Object mechanic, with the soldier-in-training Heivia on a snowy battlefield.

Kamachi launched the light novel series with illustration by NAGI in 2009, and Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint published the ninth volume in April. Shinsuke Inue serialized a manga adaptation in Dengeki Black Maoh and Dengeki Maoh from 2009 to 2011. Sakae Saitō serialized another manga, Heavy Object S, in Dengeki Maoh from 2011 to 2013. Saitō then launched the Heavy Object A manga in the same magazine in February.
