Risa Taneda Recovers From Treatment, Gradually Returns to Voice Acting

Voice actress Risa Taneda's agency Office Ozawa announced on its official website on Friday that Taneda will gradually return to her voice acting work after having recovered from medical treatment. Taneda went on hiatus last year in August to receive medical treatment. While the statement didn't specify the illness, the statement mentioned that Taneda received medical treatment on her throat.
In some roles during Taneda's hiatus, she was replaced by a different voice actress. Rie Takahashi replaced her in the role of Mash Kyrielite in Fate/Grand Order, including in the Fate/Grand Order: First Order anime. Nana Mizuki replaced her in the role of Kisaki Kondō in the WWW.WORKING anime. Hisako Kanemoto replaced her in the role of Erina Nakiri for the Jump Special Anime Festa event anime of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, as well as the Shokugeki no Soma: Tōtsuki Jūkketsu OVA.
Taneda made her major voice acting debut voicing character Saki Watanabe in From the New World. She has since voiced roles in such anime as Say, "I Love You". (Asami Oikawa), Oreshura (Kaoru Asoi), Yuyushiki (Yukari Hinata), High School DxD New (Xenovia), Beyond the Boundary (Mirai Kuriyama), Strike the Blood (Yukina Himeragi), Brynhildr in the Darkness (Neko Kuroha), Is the order a rabbit? (Rize Tedeza), Your Lie in April (Kaori Miyazono), Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma (Erina Nakiri), Garakowa -Restore the World- (Dual), AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue (Reiko Satōin), and Alderamin on the Sky (Yatorishino Igsem). She reprised her role as Aya Komichi in Kin-iro Mosaic: Pretty Days, as well as in the Strike the Blood II OVAs as the character Yukina Himeragi.
