Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation Manga Gets Sequel in Spring

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Yoshiyuki Nishi's original supernatural manga ended in 2008

Yoshiyuki Nishi will launch a sequel to his Muhyo to Roji no Mahōritsu Sōdan Jimusho (Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation) manga on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ manga website and app in spring. The sequel will follow Muhyo and his friends after they have grown a little after the conclusion of the first series. Nishi provided an illustration and message for the announcement.

The original manga centers on Toru Muhyo, a prodigy and expert on magic law, and his assistant Jiro Kusano. The pair investigate supernatural incidents and dole out justice.

The manga ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2004 to 2008. Shueisha published 18 compiled book volumes and 10 trade paperback (bunko) volumes for the series. Viz Media released all 18 volumes of the manga physically and digitally in North America.

Nishi also launched the Lycanthrope Bōken Hoken (Lycanthrope Adventure Insurance) manga in Shueisha's Young Jump magazine in October 2016. The series moved to Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website last September. Shueisha released the manga's second volume on September 19.

Nishi launched the Mamono Kanteishi Babiro (Monster Appraiser Babiro) manga in Shueisha's Jump Next!! magazine in July 2014, but serialized it for less than a year. Nishi's Bokke-san manga also serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2008-2009.
