The official website for the Nobunaga no Shinobi (Ninja Girl & Samurai Master) television anime based on Naoki Shigeno's four-panel manga revealed the third season's key visual, additional cast, theme song, and premiere information on Friday. TMS Entertainment began streaming a video. The season is titled Nobunaga no Shinobi: Anegawa Ishiyama-hen.

The series will premiere on the night of Friday, April 6 at 1:35 a.m. (effectively Saturday morning). It will also air on April 10 on BS Fuji.

Rikiya Koyama is joining the cast as Honda Tadakatsu.

Renka is returning to perform the theme song "Kingyo Namida" for the third season's first cour (quarter of a year).

The anime's first season premiered in October 2016 and the second season premiered in April 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired.

The gag manga centers on a young female ninja named Chidori, whose dream is to help the Warring States-era warlord Oda Nobunaga to achieve his goals. Shigeno launched the manga in Young Animal in 2008, and Hakusensha published the manga's 12th compiled volume in August 2017. Hakusensha will publish the 13th volume on March 29. Hakusensha published the third and final volume of Shigeno's Nobunaga no Shinobi Gaiden: Owari Tōitsu-ki (Nobunaga's Shinobi - Chronicle of Owari's Unification) manga in July 2017.
