Lulua no Atelier ~Arland no Renkinjutsushi 4~ Game Revealed for PS4, Switch in 2019

This week's issue of Gzbrain Inc.'s Weekly Famitsu magazine revealed Lulua no Atelier ~Arland no Renkinjutsushi 4~ (Lulua: The Alchemist of Arland 4), the fourth game in Gust's Atelier Arland series, for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on Thursday. The game is slated for release in Japan in 2019.
The game will center on the character Elmeluria Frixell (name romanization not confirmed), daughter of the Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland game's title character Rorona. The magazine also revealed Lulua's childhood friend Eva Armster (name romanization not confirmed). Mel Kishida is providing character designs for the game.
The Atelier Arland series is a is a trilogy of games that are part of Gust's larger Atelier series of games. Gust released Atelier ~ Alchemist of Arland 1•2•3 DX in Japan on September 20. The three games include all DLC from their previous versions. Additionally, the new release includes new features such as additional party characters, costumes, extended game scenarios, bosses, and events that were not in the original releases.
Atelier Rorona, the first game in the Arland trilogy, debuted for PlayStation 3 in 2009. Atelier Rorona Plus: The Alchemist of Arland, a remake for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, shipped in Japan in 2013 and spawned its own remake for Nintendo 3DS in 2015.
The second game, Atelier Totori, shipped in Japan for PlayStation 3 in 2010, and the enhanced port Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland debuted for PlayStation Vita in 2012.
The final game, Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland, debuted for PlayStation 3 in 2011, and the enhanced port Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland debuted for PlayStation Vita in 2013.
NIS America released all three original games in English, but Tecmo KOEI released the "Plus" versions.
In addition, the magazine revealed five additional characters for the Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World game with designs by NOCO, the character designer from Atelier Sophie and Atelier Firis. The newly revealed characters are Suelle Malen from Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings, Uryu from Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy, Ulrika Mulberry from Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy, Lita Blanchimont from Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana, and Bartholomaus Platane from Atelier Violet: The Alchemist of Gramnad 2.
The game will launch in Japan physically and digitally on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch on December 13.

Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World puts players in the shoes of Nelke von Lestamm, a young noblewoman who has always been fascinated by the ancient legend of the Sage of Granzweit; a tale of the Granzweit Tree which is said to bestow great power upon those whom discover it. As she grew up and learned her skills were not in alchemy, she studied hard to become a government official and help those around her. The day Nelke is set to graduate the academy, however, her life changes forever as she hears a rumour that the tree can be found within her father's lands near the small village of Westwald. Her father grants her permission to search for it on one condition – that she becomes governor of the area and develops Westwald into a prosperous city.
Mitsuki Nakae performs the game's theme song "Alchemia."
The game will ship in the WEST. in early 2019 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The Western release was previously slated for this winter. The game will have both physical and digital releases for PS4 and Switch.
