Ayumu Murase, Kenjiro Tsuda to voice new characters in game

This year's combined sixth and seventh issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that characters from Ryohgo Narita's Bleach: Can't Fear Your Own World novel series will appear in the Bleach: Brave Souls smartphone game this spring. Original Bleach manga creator Tite Kubo also supervised a new "2019 new year commemorative version" of the character Ichigo Kurosaki that will appear in the game.

The characters from the novels will be voiced, and the cast includes Ayumu Murase as Hikone Ubuginu (pictured left below) and Kenjiro Tsuda as Tokinada Tsunayashiro (right).

Kubo drew the character designs for the two new characters.

Bleach: Can't Fear Your Own World launched on both the Shonen Jump+ app and the official Bleach app in April 2017. The series ended with the third volume. The first volume of the novel shipped in August 2016, the second volume shipped on November 2, and the third volume (pictured at right) shipped on December 4.

The novels center on Shūhei Hisagi. Shūhei must throw himself into a new fight as the mystery that Kaname Tōsen left behind resurfaces. The story reveals more details about the four noble families, the Soul King, Arrancar, and Fullbringers.

KLab launched the Bleach: Brave Souls game in Japan in July 2015 and worldwide in January 2016. The iOS and Android game is free-to-play with in-app purchases. The game reached 25 million downloads worldwide in October 2017.
