It is now October and their website says Augest still. I mean, we all know Viz's website is terrible, but come on and update it!

Is it as bad a website as ADV's?

You'd think that they'd be able to hire some geek with Web Development skills.

Viz has by far the worst website out of any manga company. Difficult to navigate and they rarely update. Also, they don't even bother listing their older stuff; you have to go to the store section to look at that. I wish they would actually try to make it better. Both Tokyopop and Darkhorse have exellent pages, and Darkhorse even has message boards. ADV's manga site is pretty poor as well from what I've seen.

I haven't seen Dark Horses, but I know Tokyopop's it the best out of the big 3 (Viz, ADV, Tokyopop).

ADV is one of the Big Three? Since when? I don't even know the name of a single title they publish!

Why do you guys have problems with ADV's website? I can navigate the entire thing, and I can see all their releases.

Out of all of the American manga companies, ADV, Tokyopop, and Viz are the largest (or is DarkHorse larger than ADV??). And you haven't heard of Azumanga Daioh. Wow.. Shocked

Oh yeah, they released Azumanga Daioh. But what else? To me they seem to be more on the level of ComicsOne than on the level of Viz or Tokyopop.

Well I would have to agree with you on that. They don't have too many huge titles, but they have a lot of different, less-heard of ones.

Try this or this on for size, its ADV's Anime catalog and their Manga catalog respectively.

Darkhorse's manga section has been revamped. It's still lacking but at least manga section is more focus on manga. The good part is they have released date for most of thier title.

Viz has the worst website. Wolf's Rain is suppose to be released this month yet thier website has no info page on it. They have nothing on Raxephon and the last volume is due out already.

Tokyopop has the best website. All the upcoming manga has released date and info page. Thier info page is good, it talks about the creater, the character and the story. A lot of interesting new title that I can't wait to see more of.

ADV isn't that bad. I notice they fix the website glitch that made the page flicker like crazy before. Also thier released date are updated. Also even though they have update thier released for certain title, other title don't have update and people there's no clue when it's going to be released.

Also people seem to leave out CMP. They don't have that much popular title (well at least nobody's talkinga bout it).

We are unfamilar with a lot of manga unless there's already an been made into an anime. ADV dont' have a lot of manga that were made into anime (that been released here). People recognized Full Metal Panic and Peace Maker Kurogane, Chrno Crusade but don't know much about GADIROK, R2, The Boss and many other title. So that mean we don't really know much about a lot of title unless Lian review it in her Right Turn Only section. I wish there was a magazine devoted entirely to Manga instead of small section in Anime magazine. I know videgame magazine help me a lot on everything videogame.

ADV has some pretty good titles, but also some bad titles. I was expecting them to be like TP and Viz (of late) and put out shojo after shojo, but I really can't think of a shojo thing yet. Its mostly shonen and things that appeal to both sexes equally. Nothing really amazing yet though.

Pretear is shoujo, isn't it? Your and My Secret and Sweet & Sensitive as well.

What I mean is I was expecting them to make the majority of their stuff shojo like other recent marketing strategys, but to me it seems like they have a balance of about every genre, leaning towards things that I would say are older shonen titles.
