Now this is interesting. With Toei being the licensor of their own anime, and Geneon distributing it, AnimeonDVD already has information for these two title that will be distributed here in the US, with English dubs and subtitles and the original Japanese.

Air Master Vol 1 and Vol 2 and Slam Dunk Vol 1 and Vol 2: 2005-02-08.
Air Master DVD's will have 4 episodes per disc, and Slam Dunk will have 5 episodes per disc.

Wow, that's pretty fast (well, still no word on Interlude though). Shocked

Well, I'm pleased that Slam Dunk is being brought over. Not that I even care about the series, but I felt the same when Yu Yu Hakusho was brought over. Both are somewhat older series with US fanbases. That can only mean that more companies will take chances on older series, so I can get some of the stuff I really want to see over here. I'm praying to the gods that this Toei license will include Captain Harlock.

I don't think so. Toei is distributing it themselves through Geneon. This posibly means Geneon could release anything in Toei's library!!!!!!!!!!!

No, Toei is actually the one who licensed it (odd that it may seem), Geneon just distributes it.

And I meant Geneon is the distributor. Just poor wording, sorry.

Yes they did. That could be the reason why they are cheaper than typical releases by American companies.

And if it sells the manga may be next.
For air master it's anime>manga. The manga is downright terrible. The anime is also terrible but the manga....ugh worst manga I've ever read.
