CAn anybody do a reasonably good walkthrough of Rahxephon's plot. I just lost it somewhere in the middle. I'm sure that this anime has much more depth and I am seeing. I acknowledge this, yet I dont fully understand it. For example:
spoiler[ When Ayato is with that girl(cant remember her name) who is his old friend. and he is suddently forced to fight a Dolem and as he kills it, it ends up killing her as well.] What is the relationship between Ayato and the RahXephon. spoiler[ what is the deal with their fusion.] thanks. |

Okay, I'm not the best guy to go to since I haven't seen the series enough times *and payed enough attention... it's great though... I just need to see it through once more to really get it better...* so yeah, bear with me: spoiler[ When AYATO PWNS that dolem thingy, ASAHINA's soul *or something* is like inside of it, so if he kills that, he kills her... there's something I noticed though, she was bleeding all over the place, but when AYATO was pummeling MAMORU's Dolem thingy, how come he was still intact? Is it because of that hat thingy? Someone needs to explain this to me since I don't think I'm getting it too well ] as for the second question: spoiler[ FUSION... well, as is, AYATO is just piloting the thing, but when he fuses with it, he truly becomes RAHXEPHON and has the ability to "tune the world" that's pretty much it from what I can understand ] |

Using the search button might help, waiting for longer than 1 hour might help as well.
I'm not too sure about my answers but, spoiler[1)I believe everyone from Jupiter Tokyo is in fact a person from the cataclysm and "linked" to the MU. Thus when the MU sent out one of their own (A dolem), the person to who this dolem is linked to will die.] spoiler[2) I don't understand this part too well either, I do know however that Ayato is sort of a clone from Quon.] |

its a pretty confusing anime. I feel like Ill need to see it at least 3 more times until I get it. However, your first point does make sense.

spoiler[The Mu have the ability to be in two places at the same time, Inter-dimensional. Mostly everyone who was captured within Tokyo-Jupiter are subtlely being changed into mu by DNA conversion. You might remember that Asahina had red blood when she was injured on the train wreak at the beginning of the first episode. Later when she was shot and injured before Ayato took her outside the barrier her blood had turned blue and her muian self was in a dimension of control of her dolem. when they wear those helmets they become the dolem and thus will feel what the dolem feels to the death. Asahina only started to become aware that something was amiss with her world and existance and this freaked her out. Ayato knew nothing about the link of mu and humans until after when he returned to that hotel room and found her mutilated body ]I hope this is useful.

spoiler[ EDITED *didn't read the post properly* that helmet thing, does it give you more control AND protection? I'm still wondering why MAMORU wasn't really bleeding all over the place like ASAHINA was when AYATO handed him his ass ] |

As for Mamoruspoiler[it was enough to see his dolem distroyed to get the idea that he was as well. ] At least that is what I believe the director was thinking for that scene.

When I watched the episode, I understand the Asahina part. What is puzzling is that:
spoiler[After Asahina's death, Ayato learns killing the Dolem kills a human from Tokyo Jupiter. His other friend Mamoru comes to live with him and then shortly afterwards another Dolem attacks. Ayato, without much hesitation gets into the Dolem thinking he is going to "protect" his friend. Mamoru even showed the same symptoms as Asahina. Why does Ayato still think killing the Dolem will protect his friend even after what happened to Asahina? ] |

I think it's because:
spoiler[ MAMORU did beg AYATO to protect him... and MAMORU was still pretty pissed off, so he probably wanted AYATO to fight ] damn, I think I'm just tossing out random ideas now, I have to watch again
