I was there, and it was pretty cool. I'm guessing the lower attendance was largely due to unpopular series being sold day 1--it was way more crowded today than it was yesterday, and I think it's because today Touhou doujinshi were on sale.

Left Japan days before this, so I'm bummed. Had to tell my brother to buy me all the doujins and stuff I wanted and ship them to me.

Actually, it's because C81 is held from Thursday to Saturday this year. Usually it's Friday to Sunday. The reason for this is obviously New Years falls on Sunday this year.
I'm expecting lower attendance at C81 overall just because of timing.
