Nintendo had a big E3, but perhaps their biggest title to come out in the next year wasn't even featured! Enjoy.

The game looks like it has the same exact graphics from Ruby/Sapphire... anyway, I'll probably buy one of the versions just because the games are addicting. I don't really like both the male and the female characters this time though...

Yeah, the upgrades visually seem fairly minor although the buildings are now in 3D. They've slowly been increasing the amount of animation in fights over the years, so I'm hoping that this one has even more of it. Hopefully *crosses fingers* they're keeping the modest graphics in exchange for online play.

I'm just wondering how many kinds of colors/rocks they're going to use for their game titles. Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire, now Diamond and Pearl. Not including the remakes! But now I think it's a race to see who can get their monster design out first between Nintendo and Konami.

The girl character is kind of cute, but the boy just looks... French and bald. I'll be picking this up; I love the Pokemon games. Has anyone ever collected all the Pokemon in any version? I think it'd be next to impossible to do after Red and Blue, back when they only had 150. Does anything special happen?
I remember when Red and Blue first came out, and some little kids at school were talking about "secret Japanese only" Pokemon versions like Black, where you supposedly play as Gary and have a Haunter follow you around like Pikachu in Yellow, and a Purple and Rainbow version. I've never done any research into it, but were they just being big fat liars? (I'm 99% sure it's all lies, but I'm just curious.) |

Consider it pure made up crap. However, as an omake, there were originally three colors released when Pokemon first came out. Red, Blue, and Green. Red came over here okay, but for some reason they didn't bring the original Blue over here, and thus Green became the Blue that you know today. Which is probably why when they re-released the two games, there was Fire Red and Leaf Green. |

Actually some of the rumors aren't complete crap, but they aren't exactly true either. There's no Black or Rainbow version but there's a fake (Chinese bootleg I think) Pokemon game called Pokemon Diamond/Jade. It's actually not even Pokemon, it's actually a rip of a game called Keitai Denjuu Telefang with a Pokemon label stuck over it. The Engrish in it is hilarious though. I have no idea what's going on in the game since the Engrish is extremely hard to understand. I like the music though for some reason. |

All those Pokemon titles not released are games created/altered by fans. I remember playing Diamond (ROM) and the characters didn't even look like Pokemon characters.
So were Blue and Green (Both Japanese) combined to make Blue (In America)? Or was Green just scrapped when Nintendo decided to only sell Red and Blue (Whats with all these damn gang colors?) here in the states? |

No. Blue just never came over here. Green's programming was basically the same except for the part of the title.

Those two are not only gang colors, but 2 colors of the 3 in the American flag... or it's too late and I'm over-thinking. |

The fake Pokemon Diamond/Jade versions weren't created/altered by fans at all. The game was originally Keitai Denjuu Telefang Speed/Power versions. The game was altered by Chinese bootlegers by changing the title to Pokemon Diamond/Jade. Nothing else was changed, that's why the game seems like it has nothing to do with Pokemon, because it doesn't. |
