Guess I'm not getting this one within the next half-hour, then, because all of the series that I thought it might be have been shot down.
Anyway, since we just hit page 100, the current quote will be the last one for the round. I will start a new thread for Round 9 once time has expired on it, so if it is successfully guessed then the person doing so should hold off on posting a quote until the new thread goes up. (And if it isn't guessed, Vaisaga, then post the answer here even if the new thread has been started.) |

This is from spoiler[Seitokai Yakuindomo. A is Kotomi and B is Takatoshi. This happens when they're on summer vacation. Takatoshi is heading to school for student council work, while Kotomi is only then going to bed.] Man do I love those siblings. I bet people didn't click to it because it wasn't a dirty joke! Can't tell you how many times I've been in spoiler[Kotomi's] position

Scores for round 8
Some comparative stats
Since round four the trend is to complete the 100 pages more and more quickly. Pardoxically, over the same period there have been fewer and fewer correct answers. This may suggest the game is getting harder but further analysis shows this is not so.
The number of correct guesses per day is almost double what it was in round four but there is more commentary about the quotes. Not a bad thing, I think. Last edited by Errinundra on Sat Mar 30, 2013 1:10 am; edited 3 times in total |

Interesting stats. (The statistician-wannabe within me is doing a happy dance!) Thanks for being so thorough.
And boy, 9th place and only 12 points? That's both my lowest placing and my lowest score ever in this game. My impression is that we had a much higher proportion of quotes from recent (i.e., from the current or immediately previous season) series in this round, and if that's correct, then I suspect that might be part of what's throwing me off here. Oh, well; I will endeavor to regain my form for next round! |

Yeesh, I really dropped this round as well. I'm not sure if a higher number of quotes from recent series could be why, though, as those are often the series I get my own quotes from and comprise the majority of the anime I watch.
Definitely hoping to do better this next round! |

Interesting stats. Huh, for some reason I thought I was doing badly this round, but I did pretty well! My goal for next time is to break into double-digits for correct guesses.
