Has anybody heard of Haunted Junction? BanDai put out a box set of the show a few years back and I wanted to know if it would be a good use of $50.

I have it copied from a friend, and 50 bucks... meh. First off, if it's the plain subtitled version *my friend had the bandai/pioneer/whoever did it boxset for sub only* I'd say it's not a very good buy. There series is only about 12 episodes. Haunted Junction is one of those shows that's entertaining enough to waste time on, but is far from great. Nothing about it was outstanding. The characters were likable enough, but I could probably find something better to spend 50 bucks on.

I like that series a lot, but 50$ is not a good buy. In fact, I think your best bet is to go get the DVD, which is selling at most places for around 30$. Bandai didn't dub it, but the DVD has all twelve episodes on it, which I think is a great deal. So if you're interested, you should buy the DVD.

Yep, definately not worth $50 but $30 for the DVD set is just fine. We found it entertaining enough that our local anime club screened it. On the other hand if you like humor and you can afford $50 then splurge on Jubei-chan the Ninja girl.
