Nothing official on spoiler tags?

I have a hard time believing that spoiler tags aren't required, when necessary. To think that a site like this would have no official stance makes no sense.

But you edit posts probably everyday to include spoiler tags. How can you justify this when there is no official policy?

Teh Rules need to be amended to include a guideline for spoiler tags. I would also suggest that users intentionally not using them be banned.
