Technically, it's only rumor currently, with no "official" word from any party. https://forums.hummingbird.me/t/netflix-to-stream-the-seven-deadly-sins-anime/16163 |

Parasyte introduced the first ever plausible unintentional boob grab.

Not even close. But Parasyte is a special series. Unquestionably it's one of the highlight shows of the season, and the visuals are incredible. |

I suppose your threshold for plausible boob grabs might be different.
(it was a jab at the countless "everyday accident" boob grabs, to say that an alien parasite is more plausible) |

I'm so glad Parasyte looks good to you guys; I've been trying to temper my enthusiasm for ages as a precaution. And then I went and watched the opening and saw that they are going to comb back Shinchi's hair just like in the manga, and I was insta-sold.

A new series this season that's actually good? I'm dumbfounded.

Madhouse i have been ocasualy harsh with you in the last 5 years but Parasyte and Hunter showed that you are the best in the business. I will never complain again. This kind of anime is only rarely made today i applaud you for the careful direction and the plausible and small changes the material. And what a score. The manga was a 10/10 roller coaster(it finishes strong !) and one of the very few perfect mangas/comic i have read.
This and Mushishi 2 are anime of the year. Dandy and Gits Arise are the runner ups. 2014 your occasional quality output was very nice(even Gundam is good again) to me i will not forget. Now if this team could do Dorohedoro, Vagabond or Vinland Saga i would melt on the spot. These people would have done a berserk tv show in a perfect world but that dream is dead now. Maybe in 10 years .The team´s Punisher ova was also a very decent actionmovie with a horrible but very overlookable story. 6,5/10 I hope that the Penis-hand bit survives. After all Madhouse drew a giant vagina before. Have fun googling that. Last edited by residentgrigo on Wed Oct 08, 2014 2:49 pm; edited 4 times in total |

Parasyte: Yeah, that first episode was great. Thanks to Tadashi Hiramatsu, the animation looked amazing, fantastic character acting. Hopefully, the inevitable drop in animation quality won't be huge. I am not very estatic about the obnoxious music and also quite annoying sound direction, but it doesn't bother me a lot. Probably the best first episode that aired this season.
Gundam Build Fighters Try : As fun and as energetic as ever, wonderful animation throughout and the new characters are also charming. I am sorry that I doubted you season two ( though I do know that your animation won't be as as good as the first one was)! |

Fate/Stay Night now has some serious competition. I was planning to watch Parasyte, but I think it would be as good as it was. That was a top notch episode, but that boob grab wasn't plausible. At least, there wasn't one every three minutes like Nanatsu no Taizai. When dad was asking about the snake and Shinichi said his hand was numb, I thought spoiler[that it was innuendo for masturbation].

Chaika Avenging Battle
Well this season just picks right up and goes straight into the action. No time is wasted on needless as you know dialogue or some narrative recap to explain the premise it just dives right into itself like it never left. The action was brief but still enjoyable. It's interesting to see how magic in this universe continues to change and develop as we learn more. The explanation of how magic works was simple and natural. The series gets some quick comedy bits like Chaika's naive innocence, Akari still obviously wanting Toru in bed and Fredica having zero fucks to give about anything. There's also a bit of mystery and intrigue to be established. Toru and Akari's mentor looming in the shadows, Guy coming into contact with Vivi, New character Claudia and her role in things to come, probably joining the Gillette squad based on the OP (I assume the cloaked silhouette in the OP was her since she was wearing a cloak and used the same model of gun). And the preview shows Bodahn coming back as well, although there is a curious lack of both her and her lackeys in the OP so they might be screwed or just not important. Also Gillette is in the OP too so he's definitely alive. Overall a very enjoyable opening to the new season. The characters are still fun and likable. There's a clear mystery to be built up and expanded upon and it's just nice to see more of this series. I'd give it a 4/5 |

So, watched a few more shows:
Orenchi no Furo Jijou: Even if I hadn't already read some of the manga, I would have known I'd enjoy this even before watching it. It's funny and it has bishounen, plus a merman. I've always loved mermaids (when I was a kid I wanted to be one). When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace: I loved the premise, but I was actually somewhat expecting that I wouldn't end up liking the actual show, but thankfully that wasn't the case! It's funny, I like the visuals, and I like the characters. If I could have one of their powers, I think I'd choose Over Element. Rage of Bahamut Genesis: Oh, I love it when I go into a show with low expectations and end up really enjoying it! Unlike all the other shows I either have watched or plan to watch, this one wasn't even on my list, since I thought "how good could an anime based on an iPhone card game actually be?" But then I saw the high scores in the Preview Guide, thought "Huh, really?", and tried it out. And it was highly entertaining. That horseback chase scene over the rooftops and through the streets, followed by the bit on the giant wheel thing, was just amazing. The show looks great, I love the interactions between Favaro and Kaiser (although one thing I do not love is Favaro's hair, I find it ugly and highly distracting), the music is awesome, and it seems like the story could be interesting. Donten ni Warau: I'm not as bothered by the eldest brother's hair as a lot of others seem to be, but I'll admit, it does look rather silly. That aside, yeah, not a great show or anything, but I'll probably watch more. Akatsuki no Yona: Personally, I agree with Soo-Won, Yona's hair is beautiful (and now that's three out of five shows where I talk about a character's hair...). Since this episode was basically set-up, and the real main plot stuff will probably start next episode, I'll probably give this a bit longer to see how much I like it, since right now I'd say it's sort of middling. |

The link on the main list for Daitoshokan no Hitsujitai gives me a 404.

So...
When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace - Trigger's name and the high preview grades drew me to it. So far, so good. I like the characters, and feel the story has potential. Also liked the nudge to KLK. Parasyte - Probably my top pick this season! I neglected to buy TP's release, so the story is all new for me. Gore and grotesque monster aliens galore. Hope the high production values are a constant. Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road - Basically picked up where it left off with just a bare-bones recap, which was fine by me. It's a bit too early to tell if production values have improved, but I can say that that Yassan character has the oddest design. I thought it was off-model at first, but nope. Celestial Method - Usually not the sort of thing I watch, but it's very pretty. The saucer itself is mesmerizing. Noel's voice is a bit annoying, though. Hopefully the writers know what they're doing here. I don't have strong a strong opinion on this one at this point. Also saw (Kaitou) Joker and Tribe Cool Crew. Nothing much to say about the former, other than that it's a silly kid show. The latter is stylized and interesting to look at, even with its animation short-cuts and distracting CGI dancing. |
