What do you think about the new issue of Shonen Jump?
I think that Hikaru no Go is a great addition and it's actually now my favorite SJ manga. Shaman King, Yu-gi-oh, and Naruto are advancing along nicely and I liked Yu-gi-oh a lot more than usual this time. The story is getting to be really interesting. DBZ, is something I don't care too much for, since I've already seen the anime on TV and the same for YYH. I hope they start putting some other characters on the cover because Yugi is really starting to bug me. Hopefully, they'll run out of pictures of Yugi to use soon.

I agree. I like Yugioh and all, but dang, show some diversity! They should have put the Hikaru no Go characters (haven't read it yet, so don't know any names) on the front or something, since it was HnG's debute in the magazine. It's what they did for Naruto and Shaman King last year. They should rotate cover art through their series. This month, Yugioh, then Shaman King, then Naruto, and so forth through all seven titles.

the new manga is ok....not really into does types of manga but it good
im really not into the dbz, yyh or yugioh manga (i already saw dbz and yyh and yugioh is just gay) one peice, naruto and shaman king are good...im avoiding watching the shaman king show so i could keep the manga a surprise any chance they would make a second shonen jump series with new more manga on it like it could have rurouni kenshin, knights of the zodiac and some other new manga |

They're already putting those two series in graphic novel form so it would make no sense to put it in a magazine too because you're only copying what's already been released. Putting the magazine material to graphic novel form is good, because if some people didn't buy the magazine, they just get the graphic novel and they also don't have to skip other stories they don't like from the magazine. I was looking at my issues and I noticed they all have dbz or yugioh except for one issue.Could they show something on the cover besides crap.

You must not have all the issues because I remember the February and March issues had different characters. Also the June issue had Yusuke. |

Hikaru no Go so far had a good intro. For some reason, I feel like I'm really going to like this series JUST from reading the first few chapters. Although this one is another looong series. Which is good YES for entertainment! But bad for my wallet.

Weee, my friend let me borrow it. My goodness, so many good stories. I do not read SandLand and DBZ because they don't attract me. Knights of the Zodiac didn't seem good. Hikaru no Go is my favorite. The spirit is my goal to want to be, so cute ^^ I love Haku from Naruto, he is my goal to also be. Wow, so kawaii! Anyway, what card did you get? My friend got the Red Eyes Black Dragon? I wasn't sure if they all had that one?

Doubt that would happen really. What they COULD try is make it weekly like it is in Japan, but fat chance of that happening with how long it takes them to edit and translate a chapter. What Viz needs to do is focus now on a Shoujo magazine. I know they have animerica extra, but they need to add more manga to that or make it just shoujo or something because they have so many great shoujo titles. ... Ok, I'll get out of the shonen manga thread with my shoujo manga talk. |

*pets her fangirl* Yes more shoujo I say!  A monthly anthology like Shonen Jump would sell just as good. Hell, like hotcakes. 
Back to the subject at hand, it would be nice if every once in awhile they would change the characters on the cover. Not that it's a big deal, but it would be a nice change from Yugioh and DBZ. |
