There are three entries in the encyclopedia for an animator with the name 太田 雅美, and nothing to suggest that these aren't all different romanizations of the exact same person's name.

^ I think this will need more investigating first before merging to make sure there aren't animators with the same name but different readings.

Credits suggest that there is a background artist, and two animators (or one animator who is credited under 2 kanji spellings). I'm going to take a dive in here.

It seems odd that there are three Animation Director roles strewn in. Not that there aren't many, but that they are among the newest and oldest credits (2015, 2007 and 1990).
The mid 90s are also not well represented, although credits for older shows are often incomplete as far as low level animators go. IIRC my Sol Bianca DVD has Kanji credits so I can check that early one (AniDB gives the Kanji for their "Oota Masami" as 太田雅三). That is also evidently the Kanji for at least one of our credits under Masami Ota - see the precision for animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/error-report.php?code=AS-2228912708 Provided that all the potential people here are actually pronounced Oota Masami though, we are going to have to merge the different spellings before any splitting is done (although ideally under Ōta per guidelines). |

And the Venus Wars credit is actually 太田まさみ, so we know at least one person is called Masami.

That's the plan, but I did not start yet. I thought I would do it yesterday, but I didn't have time. Soon. Soon...
I did do some brief googling of the kanji though, and I doubt we will find any official sources to verify pronunciation. |

太田雅美 - All Background Credits, Key animation on Twin Tail 2014 太田まさみ - Animation 89-96 太田雄三 - Hayate the Combat Butler Key 太田雅三 - Animation 87-15 Background Artist is credited as working for アトリエムサ (Atelier Musa) in most shows.
Downloaded Wings of Rean, but no credits in files. 4 kanji names, 5 if you count the probable typo on High School DxD. The Background artist should be one person, but I doubt we will find any source on the Romanization of the name. However, there might be a new animator with the same kanji as there is a lone credit for animation on Twin Tail. The question surrounding the remaining credits is "one person or two?" I can't find any good sources and I have a headache... |
