I would think that by now Japan could justify their high disc prices a bit more if they at least had 4 episodes to a disc.

Depending on how it sells it could get a continuation once there's more chapters in the manga. Basically, people who want a 2nd season, buy the BDs  .

It clearly says it's a 1-cour in the article.
Despite their being just short of 40 chapters which are roughly 30-40 pages each, there's possible room for a 2nd cour. |

I'm sure they could justify 4 episodes per disc if that ment it also more than doubled the sales. |

All JP BDs are region-free so no need to worry about that  .

I actually pre-ordered this a week ago. Who knows if the show will be any good, but I've sort of gotten into the habit of erring on the safe side with pre-orders these days. If the show is as entertaining as it appears to be at this point, it'll be worth supporting a subtitled JP release.
Getting English subs is definitely a big perk to having Bandai Visual behind a show. I wish more shows got this treatment. |

from what i noticed... the mature anime series rarely get a 2nd season... Berserk, Gantz, Claymore, etc.. despite the manga being hundreds of chapters or still on going.. Gate- might one another one added on the list..but right now it's hard to tell since it's still on going.. |

Yet, they still can't get around to have a standard 4-episode disc for each volume (and this applies to all Japanese anime discs too).
