Really happy to see 'of the Stars' re-licensed. I bought what was put out, but let them languish in my backlog when the series didn't continue. I also heard the translation wasn't that great, so it's good to see it will be re-translated.

Hopefully these make it to print too =D

Edit: Actually, looks like I don't have to hope:

Final Novel Announcement #5: Crest of the Stars/Banner of the Stars.
We will be retranslating this series from the beginning!
Also, we will be releasing it in triple volume, hardcover omnibus editions early next year!
English cover will be ready soon...

I'd prefer paperback, but I'll still pick this up regardless =)

I got the first volume of the original Tokyopop release of Crest of the Stars many years ago but never got to read the rest. I remember Crest of the Stars was one of the first light novels released in English back before light novels were as huge as they are today. I hope the novels will do better nowadays and I hope this can lead to rescue licensing other Tokyopop titles like the Slayers novels.

Right with you on the paperback preference. But, for me, this is a "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" situation. Laughing

Thank you, thank you, thank you for deciding to release FMP! physically. I was upset as I thought it was doomed to be an ebook. I’m so happy and thankful now.

It's been a long time since I have seen the anime adaption of Crest of the Stars. I would be sure to give the original novel a try. Sise-by-Side Dreamers also has caught my interest.
