VR? Full CG?
Everything anime is not ready for on a crowdfunding budget. This is an anime that requires Netflix/Youtube backing for it to be any good (and a staff that won't screw up the CG, because Netflix anime in particular have a bad history of terrible CG, despite having the budget to make good CG).

The idea of crowdfunding anime occasionally appears but with the exception of funding an OVA length project it isn't realistic for making a single cour of anime. It looks like they are trying to make Kemono Friends for furries and that would be a niche market but if the Mokuri Project campaign goes well they might be able to get enough funding to make a series of 5 minute shorts.
