Log Horizon is one of the best family friendly isekai shows I have seen but after that incident of creative accounting I thought it was done. It is great to hear this announcement for a third season but it is a little surprising to see this happen more than 6 years after the second season. Also I wonder if that means that the recent light novels will start getting physical releases.

Nice! I’m actually surprised that season 3 is happening at all. I thought the fact that Touno got caught attempting to evade taxes sunk any future installments of the anime. That it’s still gonna be on NHK is even more surprising.

Does it really county as isekai when it's a video game? Also it's only been just over 5 years. Season 2 premiered in October 2014. It will air pretty much exactly 6 years from when Season 2 did. |

I'm not sure why people are so convinced that the author getting busted for tax evasion is the absolute death of a series. If he got caught smoking a joint, that probably would be, but not tax evasion.
Anyway. Very excited about this. |

Log Horizon has always been one of my favorite VRMMO shows. I always loved the characters and unique world building. I always hoped for a continuation but never thought it would be possible. But I’m so excited it’s happening now and I can’t wait for more.

Not sure how I feel about this, the first season was good and I am interested in the overall plot of the show, but if this 3rd season is like the boring slog that was Season 2, then I'm not sure I'm interested.
