Mix of all things snuck it, lol.
Move over MHA, Demon Slayer is the new "New Naruto". Not that I care but this sales pattern is kinda interesting. The numbers themselves aren´t that special but the domination is still impressive. Especially as Vol 1-3 are all in the top 10. That´s the real success. It is a very Japanese publication, so I kinda get it, but this can only hurt it in foreign markets despite following the Jump formulate to a t. Naruto was a teen super-hero comic with ninjas. The Z part of DBZ is a teen-friendly Superman cartoon. One Piece is about zany pirates (but it slightly failed outside Japan to retain mass appeal). Anyone can get those. This one though, hm. No Netflix show for you Demon Slayer. You are saved. |
