The Gin Rei specials should be watched after the main OVA, so not standalone from each other. But as a whole, you don't need any prequisites.

Will s-CRY-ed get the Blu-ray treatment? If so, it's on my buy list. If there's no HD masters, then why not do SD-BD like they did with Marmalade Boy?
