I think I actually liked episode 2 best out of the three. The first and third episodes very much have the "one-volume BL problem" where stuff that has to happen has to happen and there's only one place for it to go. The whopping four titles listed as the "original work" tells me this particular issue won't improve much down the line, but will probably make it great to watch (or rewatch) in batches of three. (The material is begging to be recut as a movie.)
This is probably a personal thing, but it always bugs me when "filming" scenes use a perfectly cut movie as the camera PoV. Unless you're assembling the entire thing in-camera, you'd run the entire scene from each angle and use the best shots later. (This is usually where the storyboard gets thrown out the window.) Can't all be Pompo the Cinephile, I guess, but still. (And yes, that movie did it, too, with post-FX included, even, but it was a lot more honest about everything that happens after filming.)
Also hot damn are there a lot of students in that film club. And that's just the 2nd years?

That's absolutely a fair concern. Of the four titles, two are about Mao and Hisashi and the other two are about peripheral couples, which will involve the first and third years. (But yeah, that club is ridiculously huge!) There are, I think, three volumes of Mao and Hisashi content total, at least as of now. The other two couples are one volume wonders.

Another beautifully crafted episode. I would’ve liked to see more of the kissing but I can’t remember if the manga shows that during this time or not. Otherwise I am highly satisfied with this adaptation.
I have to say that I get absolutely tickled every time Yoshitsugu Matsuoka excitedly speaks because all I can hear is Soma Saito yelling “Hirano-senpai!!!” over and over again hahaha! I also forget Yuma-chan is voicing Hisashi until his voice changes more to his everyday voice. I’m so glad there are so many fantastic seiyuu in this anime!

I like this couple better than the main one. I somehow could never warm up to Mao, and Hisashi felt kinda predatory, though he only overtly was during his sleep-pouncing episode. I hadn't noticed the glasses bit, so thanks for pointing that out.

I'm with Gina - I prefer Jin and Ichikawa's story over Mao and Hisashi's. So I was disappointed with all of the animation shortcuts in this week's episode, especially during the intimate scene at the end. It felt more egregious than in past weeks.
I also found Ichikawa's toe tan (?) pretty distracting. Why are his toes a different color than the rest of his feet!!

My thought was "man, he's blushing down to his toes!" Yeah, it looked weird, but not nearly as distracting as the boob, knee, and/or elbow shine that looks like infected zits that other anime use. Even with the toeblush, the footsie on his back bit was cute. Kinda like a cat kneading biscuits.
