This happens to almost every VA who dubs over Masako Nozawa, whether English or international.

A big shock to have lost the OG Kyoko Honda. It was a nice touch having Funimation bring her back to voice Ritsu's mum in the new Fruits Basket, too.

May she rest in peace.

She was great as Kureha in the funi dub of OP. I was shocked as I heard her first as Eva Kaden in funimations adapted Conan dub, Case Closed.

This is sad. She had a memorable voice, and her performance as Kureha was a major highlight. The character’s 4Kids voice actress (Maddie Blaustein) also passed away 17 years ago, unfortunately. Sad

How sad. Her voice always stood out. I remember hearing her for the first time in Fruits Basket and thinking she was so perfectly cast as Kyoko. She had one of those voices where you could just tell she was having a blast every time she was recording.

The same goes for many of Goku/Gohan/Goten's English and international voice actors, Nenad Nenadović included.

It always hurts to lose such an iconic voice.

Burl W. Proctor, the 2nd voice of Crocus also passed away on August 24, 2025 at 84.

He retired after voicing Crocus between episodes 379 to 381.
