I wanted Dragon Ball remake to happen, but this is also good.
I think Akio Otsuka would be perfect to voice Moro. |

So will this be a regular TV series, a series of movies, or what?

The 2 manga only arcs are 6 and 5 volumes long and are interconnected. Both are also full stories and not the abridged mess that came before. A 26-episode run is what is needed to adapt it but Toei's pacing will find a way to make it all a chore. The following Super Hero adaptation section has a 3-chapter prologue and 4-chapter epilogue, with the film itself slightly extended. That´s its own cour of material if even more movie remakes are needed but no more printed Dragon Ball material is left besides Jaco the Galactic Patrolman and in-universe shorts.
The original ending will remain the ending to the Toriyama canon unless there are notes to be found. About 3 pages of Frank Herbert notes lead to like 20 abysmal Dune novels by his son and no one wants that. |

Besides the very very end of the arc it's one of the better dragonball arcs maybe the best super arc. I'm thinking they won't animate the next arc after that unless the manga continues because it left on cliff hanger with spoiler[Frieza's new black form].

The following announcement of Age 1000 put a bit of a damper on this for me, would much rather get something tying into the future of DB rather than Toyotaro's reheated dinner from half a decade ago

Astro Boy, Phoenix and many more historically important manga are unfinished but we are talking about a pillar of Jump itself here. There is a contingency in the case of Oda´s death and there is no universe where Granolah the Survivor Saga won´t be adapted and get some sequel. DB´s convoluted rights are the only issue but this anime got made, so there is a way. But good luck making sense of Daima. It´s right there in the info clip, lol. The most Toriyama-involved anime of all time. None of those events are referenced in the manga for obvious reasons. Dragon Ball canon has become as messy as DC comics canon. The manga canonized Olibu from the Pikkon filler arc at the very end.

Glad they made the designs slim to fit Toriyama's last sketches

This is pretty much the only way I could see them doing more DB TV anime after Toriyama's passing although I would have been fine if Daima was just the end of it as I thought that was a fine way to cap off the franchise.

I was ultimately disappointed by the Moro Arc, as with most Dragon Ball media since Toriyama went back to the well, but at least it's finally getting animated for the people who enjoyed it.

And hearing about Hans Zimmer being the composer for this particular Dragon Ball video is just next-level crazy and prestige that Dragonball has gotten (just found out about this via social media). It's hard to believe we now got Hans Zimmer being involved with Dragonball. What's next, Alan Silvestri or Brian Tyler for a future My Hero Academia anime film? |

You sure love spreading misinformation right? "Toei's pacing will find a way to make it all a chore" Toei is not a single entity, we don't even know which staff will work on this and you're already jumping to conclusions and dismissing it. This may come as a shock to you but it's not the same studio that made the original DBS anymore, they had a big reorganization years ago. |

I'd like it to be a series, but who knows at this point? I would have thought adapting this into a series was the thing to do before, but instead we've gotten a movie that takes place after and an original tv series. |

I only ask because a movie (or a series of movies) would have a higher budget. |
