A little friendly advice; if I were you I would clean up the spelling and grammar of your post before the mods and senior members catch its scent. If they discover it in its current form then they'll be on you like a pack of rabid wolfs on a wounded newborn baby deer.

Well, despite the horrible grammar all I needed to make out was the part about the police officer with big eyebrows. The officer is Kankichi Ryotsu and the anime is (deep breath) Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koenmae Hashutsujo, or Kochikame for short.

Having continued serializing for more than 26 years with 138 tankoubons, the original manga version has become a part of Japanese culture. Although characters in this manga are fictional, the police station at the location manga depicted is now a shrine for ACG fans. Wink

Not yet, according to ANN's Encyclopedia. And I'm not looking forward to this since there's too much cultural barrier in this work. For example, one ep in manga has everyone in a party reading Japanese poems -- simply impossible to translate, either sub or dub, unless you totally rewrite the script.

I don't know about being impossible to translate... I thought Animeigo did it just fine when UY had episodes with that in there...
