I hope they choose Makoto from the real Aucifer band as Sakuya but of course I'll doubt that will happen.

Yeah, right...She gotta know some agents who know how international production works. There is a danger of ironclad contract issue that Hollywood can mess around with her story however they want. Not likely to happen.

I'm not a fan of Shinjo's works, but I'm liking her more and more as a person. She has the courage to speak about what happens "behind the scenes". Yotsuba's author also just said the same thing: "the author is often the last one to be informed about his work being made into an anime". That must be quite annoying, you can't even have a say on who is going to adapt your work and how. And if it's Bee Train you can only hit your head against a wall.
It doesn't surprise me anymore that many anime adaptions are so bad, if they never ever consult the original creator about anything
