Hasbro doing what they do best.. silly gimmicky stuff that doesn't exist in the Japanese franchise rather than just release the good, proper stuff.
First time they went all out and commissioned a cartoon for it, though.

You make it seem as though Takara Tomy doesn't release gimmick stuff. Which is a big laugh.
Hasbro hasn't really kept anything all that important Japan-only thus far. The major issue they'll be facing is over their redesigned Metal Fury Beyblades which take out the Japanese gimmicks. But I doubt BeyWheelz has anything to do with that decision.

Hasbro releasing a series for the purpose of selling toys is no different from anything in the entire franchise.
