Doesn't really matter if you've watched neither (like me).

holy crap thats weird. is that an homage? or just a straight up rip off? And for Gintama to have 150 eps just to end like that Shocked ... ok well i cant really say much about it, seeing that i hadn't even heard of it until now.

ah ok. i was being sarcastic. eh, basically, i would be pissd if after watching 150 episodes of an anime, it ended like that. but since its not then thats ok. obviously then it was more of an homage. good stuff

So, for those of us who get this page and don't read Japanese, how do we get to the video?

Gintama is a parody of all anime/manga as well as being its own show.
the ep 150 references to other endings were very much on purpose.

each episode has dozens of subtle references as well as the hit you in the head with a sledge hammer ones which is what makes Gintama such a funny anime.

That's pretty damn funny. They obviously aren't taking themselves too seriously.

Or they can be seriously trying to be funny, because this is a relative situation when Gintama tries so hard to be a parody on Japanese Pop cultures. After all, people who don't know about the cultural references will obviously won't find the show to be as funny. And then Gintama stops being funny to those that are outside of its fandom.
