How is this thread not filled with excited fans? I didn't even know about this until now, somehow... I can't wait to own all of Cardcaptor Sakura (I'm missing the second half of the TV series).

Seems rather nostalgic of some Card Captors, used to watch it before going to school, my sister would be happy to hear about this, she loved the series.
Blind bought both seasons of Rozen Maiden to watch them, suppose I need to watch the OVAs.

This isn't Cardcaptors (which was an edited and badly dubbed hack job), it's the original uncut Cardcaptor Sakura, it's unfortunate that they won't be including a new uncut dub for the fans who want that but it's still much better than getting Cardcaptors.

I have looked back at the original dub, it was bad bad bad, I assume the original japanese language was better.

By far. I can appreciate a good dub even if it's not my preferred viewing option (Summer Wars, Ghost in the Shell Standalone Complex: Solid State Society are examples that come to mind), Cardcaptors was not a good dub and the Japanese version has excellent voice acting.

If one was being especially mean, Cardcaptors was closer to Robotech and Samurai Pizza Cats than Card Captor Sakura >.>

You can do the pinching, I don't really care either way lol.

But on that note, do Animax dubs ever actually get used for western releases?

No. I don't know why though. Releasing a sub-only when another company dubs it??

How ignorant can those retarded companies be? Mad Evil or Very Mad Mad Evil or Very Mad Sad

I'de be willing to wager that its less to do with ignorance and more to do with how the situation works on the business end. As has already been noted, there's no precedent for Animax dubs being used in a western release, so its entirely possible that they either wont or cant for some reason.
