I am fairly new to reading Manga, (The interest came from watching anime for so long) only about a year now, I only have started reading a few titles and I was looking for other titles to read, but don't want to risk the 8 - 15 bucks. Here are the ones that I read or reading so far:

Trigun (Trigun Maximum)
Hellsing
Dragonball Z
Bleach
Rurouni Kenshin
Vision of Escaflowne
Gundam Seed
Jing: King of Bandits

It doesnt matter if its action, romance, comedy, etc. I am pretty open to reading any genre of Manga. Just the titles of some are good, if you want to take the time to describe them, thats even better. Thanks ! Very Happy

Demon Diary and Plannet Ladder are two good ones. Both deal with fantasy, Planet Ladder w/ alternate worlds, Demon Diary with demons, of course, lol. Both have very good artwork.

Also, Kodocha is an insanely funny series, and almost anything by CLAMP promises to be good entertainment.

Ranma 1/2 is a really good comedy. Ranma turns into a girl every time he gets soaked with cold water and his father turns into a panda. The series is really funny, and the characters are great.

Blade of the Immortal is an awsome manga about an immortal samurai. It has great art and a really complex story.

If you like Dragon Ball Z and Bleach, then you'll like Naruto and most Shonen Jump manga. Some others I like are, of course, anything by CLAMP like Haru to Ashura said. There's .hack, Saiyuki, DearS, and two new ones I like are Lagoon Engine and Alichino.

I recommend Chrono Crusade and Desert Coral. Chrono Crusade is action packed with a nun and her companion demon who hunt demons in order to save her brother. Desert Coral is a short series that has grown on me. A boy gets transported to another world and helps this small town defend itself. On top of the action, both of these stories have awesome character relationships which make them even more fun. Of course, these are my two favorite series right now. I've read most of the ones you have listed and have enjoyed them throughly too!

Haru, I have a question. I bought the first two volumes of Demon Diary, and while very pretty, I found the storytelling to be akward and kind of lame. (Eclipse teaches something to whatsisname, Whatsisname fails in a cute way, comical yelling ensues). Does it get any better, or are the rest of the volumes pretty much the same?

As far as recommendations, Kodocha's a good one. I haven't read all of them yet, but Ayashi no Ceres (Celestial Legend Ceres) really has my attention, and Please Save My Earth has been described to me as high literature. I've only read 2 books of it, but I was a diehard fan of the OAV series. Yay!

I was really thinking about getting Berserk. I watched the anime and since the anime didn't finish the series, which I had no idea till I watched, I was pretty upset because the show was really good up to that point.

Lol, I believe his name was Reanef. I bet I spelled it wrong, though. Fear not, the story gets far more complex. :)

Actually, with this Demon Diary thing, it really doesn't get better or more complicated, unless you're the type of person who would most likely be confused when faced with the concept of time traveling, of sorts. I don't think it's that worth it for the money.

I recommend King of Hell because it has just the right amount of fighting, fanservice, romance (for its type of title), and...stuff for every action, pervert (just kidding!), and romance-y (?) buff. Darn, in a pinch here.
