Anyone know when and if this is getting a R1 release? I remember hearing there was trouble with getting the rights or something but can't remember exactly what it was over.

Right now, any new project that says Macross won't be hitting the U.S. shores anytime soon due to licensing issues between Big West (owners of the entire Macross franchise), Tatsunoko (co-producers and distributors of the original Macross TV series) and Harmony Gold (owners of Robotech, who think they own everything that says Macross in the U.S.).
