Wandering Son volume 1 keeps getting pushed back further and further. When it was announced, they originally said it'd be released in December 2010, then it got pushed back to March, and now it's been changed again to May. What gives? Is Fantagraphics having trouble? I hope not, 'cause they do a good job with their releases.

Fantagraphics isn't having trouble- this isn't really all that unusual in comics publishing, as dates often get pushed around due to production issues [ensuring the best quality product], release date preferences [if you can't meet the Dec. deadline, a Feb. date might be better than Jan since that's where it fits better in your schedule], and other things.
It looks like book 2 just got listed for July, so I'd say that's a good hint that they will be putting out the 1st one- http://www.amazon.ca/Wandering-Son-Book-Shimura-Takako/dp/1606994565/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1295802129&sr=8-2 It's honestly not that unusual for Fantagraphics- their books have high production qualities, but they handle a ton of projects and are a smaller pub, so it's not unheard of.
