Just a question I've been wondering.
When you're reading a series of manga waiting for new volumes how do you figure out when new volumes are released so you can go out and buy them? Stalk the new releases / coming soon page of some shop? Anyone have a site that just sends them info about new releases? |

I tend to keep an eye on the amazon or book depository release dates for these manga. I like to plan my manga purchases for the next 2 months so I have to keep an eye on when continuing series are coming out so I know which new series I can start.
I imagine this will become a lot harder, the more continuing series I become involved with. |

I use Amazon, mostly. In addition to having most releases up half a year in advance (they've already got the Viz releases through January), I really love their Wishlist feature. It really helps me stay organized with what I need to buy. I have a Wishlist just for pre-orders, so I can easily see what's coming up. And since Amazon's got their releases up so far in advance, I only have to update my pre-order Wishlist every few months or so. I'd consider that minimum involvement.
I think the blog A Case Suitable for Treatment has a post each week on what's coming out. Don't know if it's an exhaustive list, or just whatever Sean Gaffney wants to highlight. |

Both RACS and TRSI show an expected date of release for upcoming manga.

Amazon.ca (the Canadian site is more up-to-date than the US one), AAAAnime.com, and Simonandschuster.com for Viz titles (search Viz Media in the search bar).
Manga-news.com has a full list of Japanese volumes that are coming out. It's a bit confusing to navigate if you don't know basic french though. |

You used to be able to predict when Viz titles would come out but then the economy hit and their titles went all crazy |

Amazon and TRSI help me long range plan, but http://www.diamondcomics.com is how I choose which to preorder and figure out which fits in my schedule best.

Shojo Beat used to do a lovely monthly newsletter when the magazine was still being published that also had details of which volumes were coming out that month. I wish Viz would bring that back, as most of the stuff I buy these days is Shojo Beat. Now, I just check Amazon for their release dates and see what my local comic shop has on the "new releases" shelf that I might have missed. Most titles seem to be released on a 3 monthly basis, as well, so sometimes you can work it out.

I just preorder everything through TRSI's vendor sales. It keeps me from missing anything, and saves me money in the long run with the sale price, plus the gotanime membership.

Depends on the publisher. I go to Dark Horses' website for their release dates since it is more accurate than any other place. I also do this with Yen Press and browse Seven Seas a bit too. I also get the Akadot newsletter for the few BL titles I collect. Other than that, I generally use Amazon too.
