This is another anime that I am starting what do you guys think of it from the 1st eps it looks great. Of course the story/plot/characters are all a blur right now but the animation is top notch.

Are you talking about Full Metal Panic!, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu, or Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid?

I am reffering to Full metal Panic, I wasn't aware there were so many spinoffs.

Those others aren't spinoffs. Fumoffu was the spinoff, or more accurately, the side tales that had no consequence that the first season didn't show. The Second Raid is the SEQUEL of the first season that is known as just "Full Metal Panic!".

Well I think Full Metal Panic is a masterpiece. Just wait you'll learn more about the characters.

Damn I made a mistake and got second raid. Is it going to feel very much out of place to be watching second raid first before the 1st.

I really like this show though there's some 'filler' episodes which could have been avoided IMO. I love all the main characters and their relationships give some of the most hilarious scenes I've ever seen in an anime. Action scenes are also very good though mecha combats tend to insist too much onto knive-based close combat /methinks
I eagerly wait to put my hand onto the spin off and the sequel |

Yes it will. Just make sure you don't get the first series from wherever you got SR, because the first one has been licensed, and you don't want a bootleg, do you? |

Also downloading of either Full Metal Panic or FMP: Fumofu is also illegal since they've been liscensed here. So if you want to see them you've got to buy the DVDs. FMP: The Second Raid is still unliscensed however.

(Just though I'd mention that downloading of TSR is also illegal, but I guess you already knew that)

they shouldn't be too hard to find. just check out the usual online anime dvd stores and they should have the complete first season collection (thinpak version, so it's MUCH less expensive. around the order of $60 or so).

Hmm...I had thought as long as it is unliscenced, no one will really go after you...well, I'm downloading TSR, and I certainly intend to buy the domestic US DVD releases when they come. Oh, and Balla... First season complete boxset: Complete Boxset with 7 DVDs for $57.99; well worth it. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...duct&id=1427073 |

I will agree with the "filler episode" comment. The first episode is a good representaion of the series, although it does really fluctuate in silliness. I really don't like the romantic comedy stuff at the high school. The last batch of episodes are good though. There is something about it that reminds me of Nadesco.
