Hello, Im an Anime leech (One who feeds of the anime he can borrow from others), and I need to know of some good titles I can get on my own. Im looking for romance/comedy/scifi, something along the lines of Please Teacher. Can anyone help?

Well, Tenchi Muyo is a romantic comedy with some sci-fi elements if I remember. El-Hazard a great romance OVA, but it's somewhat more fantasy-based than sci-fi.

I think FRUITS BASKET was really great and its sort of sci-fi sort of romance really funny.

I also think Love Hina was interesting although I don't know why. The romance aspect was sort of frustrating, I wanted to slap the charachters and tell them to just do it and get it over with. The sci-fi aspect was pretty much there for comic relief. It was sort of funny and It was interesting enough for me to watch the whole thing through, but I don't know why it reminded me of a soap opera very addictive. Wink

theres a scifi aspect to Love Hina? I read the entire manga and there was no scifi in there, at all, are you sure thats what you mean?

In the anime of Love Hina the young girl from some mysterious island was always building mechas and in one ep there was a giant mecha. To me this is Sci-fi, no it is not a major part of the series but it is still there as sill as it may. In FRUITS BASKET, well when people pooff change into animals I call it Sci-fi, you may call it magic, or mysticism whatever its all the same and it is still a very good series Rolling Eyes

Well, I undrestand the mechs being scifi... but I would peg Fruits Basket as a fantasy. To me Scifi = space, aliens, giant robots....

the term sci-fi (science fiction) indicates there's some scientific reasoning involved, even if the science doesn't sync up with Real Life science, hence the fiction part. since the explanation in Fruits Basket is that they're possessed by the vengeful spirits of the zodiac that would class it as a fantasy series.

Well, it's not quite sci-fi, but Full Metal Panic has the romance/comedy/action/mecha genre.

A good one you can probably find cheap is Dai Guard. A little older, underated and sharable. Fits your critria.

Hey, Please Twins has -some- scifi, it has Marie flying around all over the place, and that's not exactly normal Wink

But if you want other romance/comedy/harem/scifi series with one guy in contact with a bunch of girls, try the suspiciously similar series, Chobits and DearS. Girls Bravo also features Guy + Alien Girls, though it seemed like a lousy show to me. If maids are your thing, check out Mahoromatic, and for something a little more serious (more of scifi/romance than comedy), there's Video Girl Ai.

And there's plenty of scifi in the Love Hina manga, like the airships in volume 13 and Su's massive stockpile of weaponry throughout.
