Soul Eater debuts at 62K? I guess in the long run it was never going to be Squenix's next FMA, which from what I remember sold in the six-digit range and even broke a mil for at least one volume, but it's a little disheartening to see. If only it had gotten its reboot sooner...

Removed computation since there was some figures off and amounts were lower than they should actually be. For a more updated computation, please go to post # 3 on animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1846852

Based on 2012 rankings as well as 2013 first half, all Shingeki volumes will probably make the top-selling 50 volumes of 2013.

Food for thought - if Shingeki can maintain at least 22k average for remaining 21 weeks, all of its volumes will sell at least one million copies in 2013.

22k average is quite possible, since Blue Exorcist managed to do so with its volume 1 (at least) in 2011.

Keep in mind Square Enix releases new books on Saturdays, so that 62k represents just a single day's sales.

Yep. ^

Back in March, it was reported that One Piece Vol. 69's first week topped the charts with over 400K (animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-03-07/japanese-comic-ranking-february-24-march-2), Ansatsu Kyoshitsu/Assassination Classroom Vol. 4 got on the charts at 12th with 49K.

The following week, One Piece 69 (charted 1st) sold 1,842,220 in addition, Assassination Classroom 4 (charted 3rd) added on 327,856 (animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-03-13/japanese-comic-ranking-march-3-9).

Sales aren't always clear cut from week to week, whether it is from preorders or the publishers releasing products at different points in the week.
