Not diecast? And doesn't play its own theme song? And has such a basic flaw as not even being able to come off without a huge amount of fuss? And they're gouging you with the price even more than the base figure was?

This was a timely article - what looks to me to be a Mazinger Z figure complete with the Jet Scrander (with enough alterations to avoid copyright issues) played a small role in this week's Blood Lad episode.

I gotta say it looks very impressive all together But yeah, $100 for a large piece of plastic is a bit much for an accessory pack as important as this. For a few bucks more you can get a Real Action Hero... I admire your commitment haha!

One important point about it being plastic that I did not touch on in the article: If the wings or even the backpack were diecast, it would absolutely make the figure tip over backwards. Parts like this are never metal. That part is actually completely reasonable from a design POV.
